Day 1: Arrival in Chongqing – The Mountain City

Welcome to Chongqing, one of China's most dramatic and vibrant cities! Upon arrival at the airport or train station, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax and begin exploring at your own pace. Your guide will contact you in the evening with tomorrow's pick-up time.


Day 2: Wulong's Natural Masterpieces – Three Natural Bridges, Fairy Mountain & Impression Wulong

Accommodation: Wulong or Pengshui (local 4-star standard)

Photography Focus: Karst bridges, alpine meadows, and a spectacular outdoor performance.

Morning: Journey to Wulong
After breakfast, we depart for Wulong County (approx. 3 hours), home to some of the most spectacular karst landscapes in the world.

Midday: Three Natural Bridges
Enter a world of colossal stone arches, deep gorges, and lush vegetation. This UNESCO World Heritage site has served as a backdrop for major films including Transformers 4 and Curse of the Golden Flower. Walk through the dramatic landscape and marvel at the sheer scale of nature's architecture. (approx. 2 hours)

Afternoon: Fairy Mountain
Known as the "Switzerland of the East" or the "Southern China Prairie," Fairy Mountain offers rolling green hills, grazing cattle, and wildflowers. Take a stroll or ride the optional scenic train (25 RMB) to explore this high-altitude meadow paradise. (approx. 90 minutes)

Evening: Impression Wulong
Prepare for an unforgettable experience. Impression Wulong, directed by Zhang Yimou and his team, is an open-air performance set against a natural karst valley. Featuring over 100 local performers, it brings to life the ancient "work songs" and folk culture of the region. (Complimentary gift – non-refundable if canceled due to weather.)

Overnight in Wulong or Pengshui.


Day 3: Wujiang Gallery – Gongtan Ancient Town – Ayi River & Miao Night Show

Accommodation: Pengshui (characteristic inn, upgraded local 5-star standard)

Photography Focus: River landscapes, ancient architecture, lush valleys.

Morning: Wujiang Gallery Cruise
Board a boat and cruise through the Wujiang Gallery, often described as a moving landscape painting. The crystal-clear waters reflect towering cliffs, creating breathtaking scenery. (Optional, 150 RMB per person.)

Midday: Gongtan Ancient Town
Step back in time as you walk the polished stone streets of Gongtan, one of the best-preserved ancient towns in China. With its exquisite Qing dynasty architecture, stilted Tujia houses, and serene riverside setting, it is often called the "bright pearl" of the Wujiang River. (approx. 90 minutes)

Afternoon: Ayi River Valley
Explore the pristine Ayi River valley, a place of deep gorges, waterfalls, and rich Miao culture. You can hike along the river or take an optional elevator (50 RMB round trip) to explore the upper reaches. For a truly immersive experience, consider a bamboo raft ride (80 RMB) while listening to local folk songs.

Evening: Wujiang Miao Night Show
As night falls, enjoy a vibrant performance of Miao music and dance by the riverside, performed by local Miao brothers and sisters. (Complimentary gift – non-refundable if canceled due to weather.)

Overnight in Pengshui.


Day 4: Jiuli City – Light Rail Through Building – Jiefangbei – Hongyadong – Nanbin Road Night View

Meals: Breakfast / Miao Long Table Banquet / Hotpot Dinner

Accommodation: Chongqing (4-diamond hotel)

Photography Focus: Miao architecture, urban landmarks, the magical Hongyadong, and the dazzling night skyline.

Morning: Jiuli City
Dedicated to Chiyou, the legendary ancestor of the Miao people, this cultural park showcases the largest collection of Miao architecture in the world. See the world's tallest Miao totem pole, the largest stilted building complex, and the most ornate gateways. (Note: There are souvenir shops selling ethnic crafts within the park – these are not part of our itinerary.)

Midday: Light Rail Through Building
Witness one of Chongqing's most iconic sights—the monorail train passing directly through a residential building. We'll view this marvel from the designated observation platform. (approx. 20 minutes)

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street
Visit the heart of Chongqing, centered around the monument commemorating victory in the War of Resistance. This bustling pedestrian zone is perfect for people-watching and soaking in the city's energy. (approx. 30 minutes)

Hongyadong
Explore the magical world of Hongyadong, a complex of stilted houses built into a cliff face. Even in daylight, its unique architecture is fascinating. (approx. 60 minutes)

Evening: Hotpot Dinner & Nanbin Road Night Cruise
Savor Chongqing's most famous culinary tradition—a steaming, spicy hotpot dinner. Then, head to Nanbin Road to admire the breathtaking night view of the two rivers converging, the same stunning backdrop featured in the Spring Festival Gala. (approx. 30 minutes)

Return to your hotel.


Day 5: Departure from Chongqing

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. According to your flight or train schedule, your driver will transfer you to the airport or station. We bid you farewell, hoping you return home with unforgettable images and stories.

Important Information for International Travelers

Important Note on Discounts: This tour package is offered at a special group rate. Therefore, no refunds or discounts are available for students, seniors, or holders of special passes. All entrance fees are prepaid at a bulk rate.

Mandatory Shuttle: The 40 RMB transfer bus for Three Natural Bridges must be paid on the spot. It is not included in the upfront price.

Physical Requirements: This tour involves moderate walking on uneven surfaces (natural trails, ancient streets). Comfortable walking shoes are essential.

Dietary Restrictions: Meals are authentic local cuisine with strong flavors. The hotpot can be adjusted for spice level. If you have specific dietary needs, please inform us at booking.

Gift Performances: Impression Wulong and the Miao night show are complimentary gifts. They may be canceled due to weather or other factors, and no refunds or exchanges will be provided in such cases.

Souvenir Shops: Some scenic areas (e.g., Jiuli City, Ayi River) may have souvenir shops selling local crafts. These are not part of our itinerary, and no purchase is required or encouraged.
