Accommodation: Chongqing (your selected hotel category)

Welcome to Chongqing, one of China's most dramatic and vibrant cities! Upon arrival at the airport or train station, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Day 2: Ancient Towns, Revolutionary History & Magical Night Views

Meals: Breakfast/–/–

Accommodation: Chongqing (your selected hotel category)

Photography Focus: Ancient architecture, historical sites, the iconic light rail moment, and Hongyadong at night.

Morning: Ciqikou Ancient Town
Step back in time as you wander through Ciqikou, a beautifully preserved ancient town that perfectly captures old Chongqing's charm. With its stone streets, traditional teahouses, and local snacks, it is often called "Little Chongqing." (approx. 90 minutes)

Midday: Revolutionary History
Visit two significant historical sites from World War II and the Civil War era:

Baigongguan: Originally a country villa, later converted into a prison by the Kuomintang. (Note: No museum guide included; may be closed for renovation.)

Zhazidong: Another former prison hidden in the mountains, where many revolutionaries were held. (Transfer bus optional, 20 RMB per person; no museum guide included; may be closed for renovation.)

Afternoon: Light Rail Through Building
Witness one of Chongqing's most iconic sights—the monorail train passing directly through a residential building. We will view this marvel from the designated observation platform. (approx. 20 minutes)

Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street
Visit the heart of Chongqing, centered around the monument commemorating victory in the War of Resistance. This bustling pedestrian zone is perfect for people‑watching and soaking in the city's energy. (approx. 60 minutes)

Evening: Hongyadong
As dusk falls, we enter the magical world of Hongyadong, a complex of stilted houses built into a cliff face. Illuminated by thousands of golden lights, it resembles a scene from Spirited Away. (approx. 60 minutes)

Return to your hotel.

Morning: Chongqing Palace Museum Southern Relics Branch
Visit China's first thematic history museum established at a former Palace Museum southern relics site. Through photos, videos, and artifacts, this museum commemorates the epic journey of relocating the Palace Museum's treasures during the Second Sino‑Japanese War. (Note: There is a cinnabar souvenir shop on site – not part of our itinerary.)

Midday: Yangtze River Ferry
Experience Chongqing as locals did before the bridges were built. Take a traditional ferry across the Yangtze River, enjoying unique perspectives of the city's dramatic skyline from the water.

Afternoon: People's Square & Three Gorges Museum (Exterior)
Pass by the impressive People's Square and view the exterior of the Three Gorges Museum, one of China's first national first‑class museums.

Yangtze River Cable Car (One-Way)
