Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu – The Land of Abundance

Welcome to Chengdu! Upon arrival at the airport or train station, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. The rest of the day is free to relax or explore the nearby streets. Your photographer guide will contact you in the evening to brief you on the adventure ahead.


Day 2: Chengdu – Siguniangshan (Four Girls Mountain) – Danba

Photography Focus: Snow-capped peaks, alpine meadows, the "Ink Painting" Wuse Mountain

Depart Chengdu at 9:00 AM and head towards the majestic Siguniangshan (Four Girls Mountain). After a lunch stop, we enter Shuangqiaogou Valley, the most scenic and easily accessible of the three valleys. Here you'll be surrounded by snow peaks, meadows dotted with ancient sea‑buckthorn trees, and the surreal, multicoloured Wuse Mountain—a photographer's paradise. Late afternoon we drive to Danba, known for its beautiful Tibetan villages.


Day 3: Danba – Moshì Park – Luhuo – Sêrtar (Seda)

Photography Focus: Eroded grey rock formations,stone forest (highland stone forest), chance encounters with marmots

Morning departure to Moshì Park (Moshi Park), a geological wonderland of dark, weathered rocks that look like another planet. Wear bright colours (red, yellow) for stunning contrast photos. After exploring, we continue via Luhuo towards Sêrtar, arriving in the evening.


Day 4: Sêrtar – Larung Wǔmíng Buddhist Institute – Golden Horse Prairie – Ganzi

Photography Focus: Red monastic buildings, golden roofs, prayer flags, prairie landscapes, marmots

Important: Tickets to the Larung Buddhist Institute must be reserved online by yourself 54 hours in advance (official channel). The morning departure is at 10:00 AM with a 40‑minute viewing. If you are unable to secure a ticket, you'll have free time to explore Sêrtar town.

We then head for a deep photography session at the institute's most iconic spots: the southern hillside, the prayer wheel altar, and the sacred mountain. After lunch, we visit Golden Horse Prairie for more shooting—keep an eye out for friendly marmots! Late afternoon we drive to Ganzi for the night.


Day 5: Ganzi – Litang –稻城白塔 (White Pagoda) – Daocheng / Shangri‑La Town

Photography Focus: The "most beautiful highway in China", vast grasslands, the giant white pagoda

Today is a long but scenic drive (approx. 7 hours) across the high plateau. We'll stop for photos at key viewpoints and arrive at the Daocheng White Pagoda around 5:00 PM. Circumambulate the largest pagoda in Ganzi Prefecture for good fortune before heading to your hotel.


Day 6: Full Day Hike in Yading Nature Reserve

Accommodation: 4‑Diamond Hotel in Daocheng or Shangri‑La Town

Photography Focus: Three sacred peaks (Chenresig, Chana Dorje, Jampelyang), Luorong Pasture, Milk Lake, Five‑Color Lake

Today is the highlight: a full day exploring Yading, known as "the last pure land on the blue planet." We enter the reserve at 9:00 AM.

Recommended route:

Take the sightseeing bus (¥120 round trip) to Zhaguanbeng.

From there, an electric shuttle (¥80 round trip) brings you to Luorong Pasture.

From the pasture, you can hike (or ride a horse, subject to availability) to Milk Lake and Five‑Color Lake (approx. 3–4 hours return). If you're not up for the full hike, Luorong Pasture itself offers breathtaking views of the three sacred peaks.

Return to the hotel in the evening. Your photographer will be with you throughout, capturing your achievement.


Day 7: Shangri‑La Town – Haizi Shan – Kazila Shan – Xinduqiao

Photography Focus: High‑altitude lakes (Haizi), windswept mountain passes (Kazila), the "photography heaven" of Xinduqiao

Depart at 9:00 AM for the drive back towards Xinduqiao. We'll stop at the Haizi Shan viewpoint (4685 m) and later at the Kazila Shan pass (4718 m)—both offer dramatic high‑altitude landscapes. Arrive in Xinduqiao around 7:30 PM, a town famous for its idyllic Tibetan villages and golden autumn light.


Day 8: Xinduqiao – Sidingcuo – Honghaizi – Chengdu

Photography Focus: Distant views of Minya Konka (Gongga Shan) and Yala Snow Mountain, alpine lakes, unspoiled grasslands

Morning visits to two hidden gems near Xinduqiao: Sidingcuo and Honghaizi (Red Lake). These high‑altitude lakes offer mirror‑like reflections of surrounding peaks. After lunch, we begin the 5‑hour drive back to Chengdu, arriving in the evening.


Day 9: Departure from Chengdu

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel. According to your flight or train schedule, your driver will transfer you to the airport or station. We bid you farewell, hoping you return home with unforgettable images and stories.

Airport Transfers: 24‑hour pick‑up/drop‑off at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport (for Tianfu Airport, an extra fee applies).

Insurance: High‑altitude travel insurance up to ¥500,000.

Important Information

Group Size: 2–8 travelers. Perfect for families, friends, or solo adventurers (single supplement applies).

Altitude & Health: This route reaches altitudes above 4500 m. Please consult your doctor before booking. Not suitable for children under 7, seniors over 70, or those with heart/lung conditions. We provide detailed altitude tips upon booking.

Sêrtar Reservation: The Buddhist Institute requires online booking 54 hours in advance. We'll send you the link and instructions. If you cannot secure a ticket, we'll arrange alternative activities.

Weather & Flexibility: Your guide may adjust the itinerary due to weather or road conditions to ensure your safety and enjoyment.

Packing: Bring warm layers (down jacket, hat, gloves), sun protection, lip balm, and any personal medication. A good pair of walking shoes is essential for Yading.

Travel Insurance: Basic insurance is included, but we recommend purchasing additional coverage for peace of mind.
